Hi, I am Allison Ruschill, a Kansas City based Filmmaker, Videographer, and Freelance production crew worker.

I have been creating video content since a very young age and have grown to love the creative medium of video.

In high school, I was a member of the video production organization, creating news and journalism-style content to be shared on the school's YouTube channel and shown throughout the day to students, teachers, and administrators.

During my Senior year, I was chosen as an Executive Producer, one of the clubs leaders, and led the planning and organizing of the team’s video production and monthly show.

Working with and leading the team producers taught me leadership and collaboration skills that are essential to film production. These skills were immediately applicable and essential in my success in the Film department at the University of Kansas, KU.

In college, I became fully immersed in the film program, collaborating with others to tell new and interesting stories.

While at KU there was a lack of collaboration between the various programs focused on film, as well as a lack of a focus on what “real world film” careers would be like.

This led me and a partner to create a cross-disciplinary club focused on bringing together the various film disciplines with industry professionals. This group is the KU Professional Group, Oldfather Production Club. As a founder, I held the Co-President role for 2 1/2 years, recruiting leaders and establishing all the core components of running an office University Club, and establishing future leadership with a goal to make Oldfather an ongoing club at KU Film.

Together with my co-founder and the Oldfather leadership team, we revived the film community at KU and brought opportunities to incoming students in the industry they are studying.

Post grad I will grow my skills and continue to be involved in the film and entertainment industry using my skills in leadership and creativity to elevate all projects I am a part of. I enjoy motivating others, keeping the program on schedule and helping people bring their creativity to life on the big (or little) screen.

Lets work together!
